Cassandra was most recently the Director of Programs for the Baltimore Civic Fund, a mayoral fund for Baltimore City where she oversaw $20-million+ annually across 130 City-led public/private fiscally sponsored projects and where she developed the Baltimore Nonprofit Relief Fund to distribute $15-million in relief funding to 300+ nonprofits. Prior to the Civic Fund, Cassandra spent more than a decade in fund development and external affairs with the Center for Urban Families in Baltimore and with Our Piece of the Pie in Hartford, CT, where both provide needed resources for urban youth and families with a keen focus on data and performance.
Cassandra has a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration and graduate certificate in public and nonprofit management and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and sociology, all from the University of Connecticut.
Cassandra is deeply involved in her community, where she sits on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Book Bank and the Baltimore Community ToolBank, both organizations that are providing invaluable resources to Baltimore’s. Most recently, she joined an advisory board for “From: Baltimore”, a civic engagement program for youth through Break a Difference.
