Practice ImperativeHome / Meet the Ambassadors / Rosie Stafford Smith
Rosie started her independent consulting practice in February 2020 after working at United Way of Greater St. Louis for six years, most recently as Vice President of Customized Philanthropy. In that role, Rosie led the development and implementation of customized products and services for corporate and high net worth individual donors, including CSR strategy development and implementation, volunteer program management, foundation management, grantmaking services, and Donor Advised Funds. Prior to starting her consulting practice, Rosie co-taught Evaluation of Programs and Services at Washington University in St. Louis’s Master of Social Work program, using Leap of Reason as the course textbook. Now with her clients, Rosie provides services such as developing a company’s corporate citizenship strategy so it’s aligned with community needs or helping a nonprofit diversify its revenue beyond traditional grants and donations.
Rosie received her Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and her Bachelor of Public Administration from Auburn University. Rosie resides in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, after extended stays in St. Louis, Washington DC and six months in Tamil Nadu, India, evaluating a community health worker program.
