Ryan serves as the Head of School for Assets School, one of the few K-12 independent schools specializing in students who are gifted, have learning differences, or are “twice-exceptional.”
Prior to joining Assets, Ryan worked at Lawrence School, the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools, and helped found a Hawaiian-focused charter school in conjunction with the Polynesian Voyaging Society’s Malama Honua Worldwide Voyage. Over the years Ryan has served on, consulted, or been invited to speak with boards and organizations focused on education, child development, and learning differences.
Ryan is a graduate of Miami University and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He lives in Honolulu with his wife and daughter.
