Mara Williams Low is the former Program Director of Sobrato Philanthropies in Silicon Valley, California. Over her tenure, she has developed the Foundation’s capacity building portfolio, communications, and a network of four Nonprofit Centers, which house and support 80+ nonprofit tenants with in-kind rent and fee-free conference space. Since joining the foundation in 2006, she has helped develop and grow the foundation as it has expanded its budget, scope, and program impact within Silicon Valley and beyond. Prior to her career in philanthropy, Mara was the Associate Director of Adage School of Performing Arts. She began her career as an Editorial Producer for the San Jose Mercury News, where she covered and wrote arts and entertainment content for the San Francisco Bay Area based newspaper. She holds a BA in English from UC Berkeley.
