For nearly six years, John Kelly has worked within the Administration addressing community needs through cross-sector collaboration and the utilization of service as a vehicle for community solutions. In his current role as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), John leads the agency’s national service growth strategy by developing partnerships at the national, state, and community level.
Prior to his role with CNCS, John worked in the White House Domestic Policy Council in the Office of Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, engaging faith communities and nonprofit organizations to help tackle their community’s most pressing issues.
Prior to serving in government, John worked on President Obama’s 2008 Campaign, civically engaged the faith community through his work with the Democratic National Committee, and served as the Director of the Emerson National Hunger Fellows Program at the Congressional Hunger Center where he lead a program developing leaders in the fight against hunger through service and policy formation.
