As CEO of MCR Pathways, Fay leads the organisation’s strategic direction and ambition to make mentoring an integral part of the education ecosystem across the UK: ensuring every vulnerable, care-experienced and disadvantaged young person has the opportunity to benefit from individual mentoring. In the two years since joining, Fay grew the organisation, over doubling the number of schools, young people and mentors participating – currently MCR supports over 4,000 young people on a weekly basis.
Prior to MCR, Fay was Headteacher at a large inner city primary school in Manchester, and latterly Senior Adviser for Learning Improvement in Cumbria, responsible for the effectiveness of over 100 schools. Fay is a passionate advocate of achieving consistent excellence through aspiration and inclusion progressing hand-in-hand and sustainable cultural change.
