Amanda is a Portfolio Director for the Connecticut Opportunity Project at Dalio Education, where she works collaboratively with grantee partner organizations to help improve their organizational capacity and performance management practices so that they can positively impact young people who are disengaged or disconnected.  She also plays a key role in developing the Opportunity Project’s pipeline of prospective grantee partners and in advancing Dalio Education’s strategic communications initiatives.

Prior to joining Dalio Education in 2018, Amanda was the Managing Editor for Education Next, a national journal based at Harvard University covering research, news developments, and best practices in education policy for its audience of practitioners and policymakers. Amanda managed the journal’s content development, daily operations, convenings, and grant writing, and launched a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to enhance the journal’s operational flexibility and fundraising capacity.

Earlier in her career, Amanda was a Research Assistant at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute, an education reform think tank, and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member at a youth bureau in upstate New York.

Amanda received her Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and her Bachelor’s in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.
