Keren Abina Sotomayor is the VP of Learning at JPMorgan Chase’s Global Philanthropy department where she leads continuous learning and knowledge sharing practices to support the organization’s mission of advancing an equitable economy.
For over a decade, Keren has held leadership roles in planning, learning, and evaluation in the government and nonprofit sectors. She previously held leadership roles in planning, learning and evaluation at the Office of Training and Workforce Development at the NYC Administration for Children’s Services, the Center for Employment Opportunities, FEGS, and the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families. What she enjoys the most about leading planning and learning activities is engaging with colleagues and stakeholders to explore the effectiveness of strategies, interrogate how programs work, and use that information to support continuous learning and improvement for greater impact.
She earned her master’s degree in psychology from New York University and bachelor’s degree from the University of Puerto Rico. Originally from Puerto Rico, Keren is married and has two wonderful daughters. She is passionate about sustainability and serves on the board of Friends of Arlington Park, a member of the Jersey City Parks Coalition, to improve parks and green spaces in her town. She loves spending time with her family, gardening, crafting, and reading. She is a big fan of science fiction and fantasy so feel free to reach out any time you want to discuss space travel or the latest NK Jemisin book.
