Kevin Kubacki is first and foremost a husband and father of three beautiful children. He was raised in Indianapolis, and attended Indiana University for his bachelor’s degree in English, Indiana Wesleyan for his Transition to Teaching License, and Marian University for his master’s degree in Educational Leadership. After teaching for thirteen years in elementary, middle and high schools in Indianapolis, he launched a grassroots charter school on Indy’s west side called Enlace Academy; the school is rooted in the core belief that, “All children can and will learn.” In order to actualize this belief, the school model focuses on personalized instruction, holistic student growth, and strong family engagement practices. After receiving an A grade in the state accountability reports, Enlace Academy expanded to include a sister school on Indy’s east side called Kindezi Academy. To manage the growing network, Kevin launched The Neighborhood Charter Network, which manages the two schools through a partnership with IPS’s Innovation Schools Network.
