Visit WebsiteDavid has nearly 20 years’ of social sector experience spanning practice, policy, and research, including 16 years working in homeless services. Since 2015, he has led Covenant House’s efforts to become a learning organization by using data to inform programs and improve outcomes for young people. David’s team oversees the agency’s Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) data management system and generates reports, dashboards, and other analytic tools to measure impact and performance. Prior to Covenant House, David served as Director of Research and Innovation at The Doe Fund, one of the country’s most successful nonprofit housing and workforce development providers working with homeless and formerly incarcerated individuals. David has authored numerous reports on issues affecting the nonprofit and philanthropic sector, has taught graduate-level coursework on program planning, design, and evaluation, and has presented his research at national and international conferences. He is currently an Adjunct Lecturer at the NYU Silver School of Social Work. David was named one of the inaugural 40 Under 40 in the New York Nonprofit Sector. He is a graduate of the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs (Ph.D., MSW) and University of California, Berkeley (BA).
