former President and CEO, Saint Luke's Foundation of Cleveland, Ohio
A lifelong resident of Greater Cleveland, Denise San Antonio Zeman served as President and CEO of the Saint Luke’s Foundation of Cleveland, Ohio from 2000-2014, and has been a member of the Leap Team since 2015. Recently named a Stokes Senior Fellow (a mentor to students participating in the Stokes Civic Leadership Institute In recognition of the powerful legacy of Carl and Louis Stokes), Denise is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of nonprofit and philanthropic leaders, and has a passion for fostering a culture of learning. Her professional career has spanned healthcare, human services and community relations. Immediately prior to joining the Foundation, Denise was a senior executive for the Meridia Health System (now part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System) where she was responsible for leading the successful turnaround of one of its regional hospitals. Her commitment to serving the needs of the underserved is demonstrated by active volunteer engagement with numerous community, civic and educational organizations. Denise completed a B.A. at Ursuline College; M.A. at John Carroll University; additional post graduate coursework at Kent State University; and the Executive Program in Philanthropy at Stanford University. She also holds a Professional Chef’s Certificate from the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking, and a certificate in Regional Italian Cooking from the Simili Sisters School in Bologna, Italy. She enjoys travel, cooking and reading, and strength training.
