Liza M. Rodriguez has twenty-five years of leadership experience in the government and non-profit sectors, where she has worked to strengthen human service and education systems by utilizing data-driven, talent development, and cross-sector strategies. Liza’s work is driven by her passion for ensuring that government and non-profit organizations create pathways to continually improve how they serve vulnerable communities. Her diverse background in service delivery, policy, talent management, and research has enabled her to build and integrate teams that deliver measurable results.

She served as Chief of Performance Management and Technology for the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Children and Families from January 2020 to July 2022 after serving as Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Human Services starting in October 2016. In her role as Chief, she led a multi-disciplinary team of over 160 staff and was responsible for modernizing the data, technology, and research and evaluation infrastructure of the City’s human services agency and other family-serving departments in the Office of Children and Families.

Born and raised in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, Liza has a B.A. from Duke University, a Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D.in Urban Education from Temple University.
