Matt is responsible for all operational functions, including human resource management, property management, technology, and the oversight of MV’s 18-month operational calendar used to set overall priorities and manage “across the board” execution. Matt is involved in investment tracking, political budgeting, insurance administration, and providing a level of redundancy for the MV CFO functions. He also provides support to philanthropic, educational, and civic initiatives of the Morino Institute and family, including as an Advisor, Operations, Technology, and Legal, to the Leap Ambassadors support team.

Matt joined Morino Ventures in March of 2008, bringing 23 years of information technology, project management, finance, and accounting experience. Previous roles have included I/T Business Services Manager at First Energy, I/T Team Lead at Nordson Corporation, and I/T Manager at Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young). From 1996 to 2008, he was Founder and President of the Morino Software Corporation, which specialized in job search systems designed to help clients explore careers in Ohio.

Matt received a Bachelor’s degree in business management and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He lives in Strongsville with his wife, Fran, and their three children.
